Located in the City of Port St. Joe is the Port of Port St. Joe, one of Gulf County’s top assets. The Port is a state-designated deep-water port which lies adjacent to more than 5,000 acres of undeveloped land. The Port's vast area and adjacent waterways offers unique accommodations for maritime-related and spin-off businesses that are not typically available at land-constrained ports.

Several industrial properties are available for purchase or lease within the 300-acre Port of Port St. Joe planning area, most of which have direct access to either St. Joseph Bay or the Gulf County Canal and Intracoastal waterway which already services for water, wastewater, gas and electricity and excess capacities. All sites have easy highway access, and several are served by the Apalachicola Northern railway, which is currently being rehabilitated to accommodate freight train traffic. A total of 2,800 linear feet of bulkhead is currently available along the turning basin and Gulf County Canal, and another 3,600 linear-foot expansion is possible along the Bay.
